Crater Lake NP and Rogue River Natural Bridge, Oregon

We started for the coast and California and I said,”Prepare your comebacks now because when people hear we were this close to Crater Lake and didn’t go, they’re going to want to know why.”  Change of plans: we’ll take a quick run up there. We started up the road and after a few miles we’re afraid we wouldn’t have enough gas for the round trip. We turned around and headed south again. Stopping  for gas in the tiny village of Prospect the first thing the attendant (they have those in OR) asked was if had gone to Crater Lake.  Back we went!  He also recommended Natural Bridge which was well worth it.
