Preparations are underway!

When I told Fran and Marina about my stage IV cancer diagnosis they almost immediately said they would put off their original Japan honeymoon plans and take a road trip with me.  It's something I've wanted to do for a long time.  There's no time like the present; we leave Tuesday, September 4 and return September 30. Anson is also able to go and I couldn't be more pleased.  He's done a lot of work on the camper already: put in a new wood laminate floor, a new reinforced bunk, cleaned and sealed the roof, put in a new kitchen counter, and torn out the original bathroom fixtures.  He's working now on a custom shower. We're all busy working on the camper, reorganizing it, buying a new-to-us truck, thinking about where to go, keeping up with forest fire information, shopping, and a host of other details I'm sure we haven't thought of yet.
