Cali Coast
It’s been a beautiful day on the Pacific Coast Highway. We did our first “boondocking” last night. Anson got us south of San Francisco - I woke up to see the bay bridge and went right back to sleep - and then we pulled off the road into a turnout and spent the night by the beach. Such a foreign concept for us Easterners!
There are some roads in CA that really had us pondering the reason for their existence. CA 1 fom Leggett to Ft Bragg, and 20 from Ft Bragg to Willits are two of them. At first it was a nice winding road through the forest. After a while it became tortuous, then we all got seasick and we thought we’d never get out of the woods. There are no cross roads, no houses, no businesses, no traffic and nothing to see but trees.
